Food truck event debuts in McMinnville
The Mac Food Truck Fest hosted more than a dozen mobile kitchens along the newly redesigned Alpine Avenue, April 27–28, raising money for the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation; the celebration was sponsored by the McMinnville Noon Rotary Club.
Over the weekend, crowds meandered up and down Alpine devouring a variety of mouth-watering dishes and cuisines from a number of carts, and sipping local beer and wine. Guests also listened to two stages of live music at the Granary District Amphitheater and at the Mac Market — still under construction. Portland-based punk-blues duo Hillstomp headlined the festival, which also included Skybound Blue, Lounge on Fire, Bramble Rose, Lincoln’s Beard and many others.
